The best Neubox alternative for an SMB in Aguascalientes depends on your budget, site type, and how much technical support you need. Hostinger, HostGator Mexico, and local web agencies are the three names that come up most often among local businesses that have already made the switch.
If you've been with Neubox for a while and feel that support response times have slipped, renewal prices have climbed, or you simply want more value for your money, this guide lays out what's available and which option fits each business profile.
Why Are Aguascalientes SMBs Looking to Leave Neubox?
Neubox was a pioneer in Spanish-language hosting in Mexico and remains a valid option for simple use cases. That said, the most common complaints from Aguascalientes business owners include:
- Longer support response times as their customer base has grown.
- Renewal prices significantly higher than the initial promotional rate, with little advance notice.
- Resource limits on shared plans that throttle online stores with moderate traffic.
- No integrated staging environment for WordPress sites.
None of these are unique to Neubox — they're common in mass-market hosting — but they're enough reason to explore alternatives.
The Three Most Popular Alternatives Among Aguascalientes SMBs
Hostinger Mexico
Hostinger operates globally but provides 24/7 support in Spanish and bills in MXN. Their Business shared hosting plan (from ~MXN $110/month on promotion) includes unlimited databases, a free SSL certificate, and an AI-powered website builder.
It's the go-to choice for clinics, language schools, and retail businesses in Aguascalientes that need to host between 3 and 10 sites without paying for a VPS. Mexican performance is solid thanks to their São Paulo datacenter (acceptable latency for national users).
HostGator Mexico
HostGator offers peso-denominated plans with local support and a datacenter in Brazil. It's price-competitive for simple corporate sites, though its cPanel interface can feel heavier than Neubox's for non-technical users.
One genuine advantage: the Baby plan (~MXN $99/month on sale) allows unlimited add-on domains, making it a strong fit for agencies or SMBs managing multiple brands.
Local Specialized Agencies
For SMBs that prefer a single trusted provider for both hosting and web development, working with a Mexican agency like El Enlace offers clear advantages: direct human support, negotiable SLAs, and assisted migration at no extra cost.
Monthly costs are typically higher than mass-market providers, but the time saved on support tickets and technical miscommunications makes it worthwhile for many businesses.

Real Cases: Who Switched and Why?
An auto-parts distributor in the Aguascalientes Industrial Park moved to Hostinger in 2025 after three WooCommerce outages in a single month. The culprit: Neubox's shared plan couldn't handle traffic spikes during discount season.
A downtown accounting firm, on the other hand, chose a local agency. They needed corporate email, an appointments page, and CFDI invoice integration — and wanted a single phone number to call when things went wrong.
A two-location dental clinic picked HostGator for cost reasons and because they already had an in-house staff member who knew cPanel. They've gone a full year without a major incident.

How to Migrate Without Downtime
Before canceling Neubox, follow these steps to avoid interruptions:
- Download a full backup (files + database) from your Neubox cPanel account.
- Upload the backup to the new provider and verify the site works on the temporary IP.
- Update the nameservers at your domain registrar to point to the new host.
- Wait for DNS propagation (2–24 hours) before canceling Neubox.
- Transfer the domain only after confirming everything works on the new host.
Most alternative providers offer free assisted migration during the first month — request it before signing up.
Key Takeaways
- Neubox still works for simple sites, but has support and resource limitations for growing SMBs.
- Hostinger offers the best price-to-performance ratio for WordPress sites and online stores with moderate traffic.
- HostGator is the right pick if you're already comfortable with cPanel and need multiple domains at a low price.
- A local agency is the smart choice when you want hosting, development, and support under one contract.
- Always migrate with a full backup in hand, and don't cancel Neubox until the new host is confirmed working.

FAQ
Can I keep my .com.mx domain if I leave Neubox?
Yes. The domain belongs to you, not Neubox. You can either transfer it to another registrar or simply update its nameservers to point to your new host. The process takes 5–7 days for .com.mx domains through NIC México.
Does Neubox have a datacenter in Mexico?
Neubox operates infrastructure in Mexico City and the US. Most major alternatives (Hostinger, HostGator) use datacenters in Brazil or the US, with comparable latency for Mexican users.
How much does migrating to another host cost?
Technical migration is free at almost every alternative provider during the first month. The only real cost is your new hosting plan, which in many cases is the same price or cheaper than what you were paying at Neubox.
What happens to my corporate email if I switch hosts?
Your email can be migrated alongside your site. The simplest approach is to export mailboxes via an IMAP client (like Thunderbird) before the switch and re-import them on the new server. Some agencies handle this for you at no extra charge.
